We’m really introduce you to Kim-Jomi Fischer (Utrecht 1985), where we will have the pleasure of enjoying his Mobius Band Workshop. During 2011 and 2012 he went to London to work in the production DV8 “Can we talk about this?.” Today, Kim has returned to Holland, where he is collaborating with Erik Kaiel with contact improvisation, improvisation work location and contact details, location and a physical mixture of different styles of dance.

It starts the Ripollesdansa’s second edition 2013, International Festival of Ripoll’s Dance. We are very satisfied to be able to share it with professionals of luxury: Kim Jomi Fischer, Judit Ruiz Onandi, Matilde (Javier Ciria), Ramon Roig, Cristiane Boullosa and Ester Forment.
To support the same quality that last year we limit the squares of participation in the workshops.

” Dancing is often very linked to the environment. Especially in improvisation, the influence of the space you’re performing in is very important, and can change the course and the meaning of your improvisation.
In this festival, the space was not only a support, but a real inspiration. The gymnasium was huge and bright. You would never expect such a space in this place. Sometimes gymnasiums are oppressive : this one gives a real sense of space and light. Plus, the region was wonderful and warm, a nice illustration of the beauties that Spain can offer. And the town, Rippoll, was definitely charming. The conditions were comfortable, the cooking delicate and refined – which is probably not very common in a festival.
In the first edition of this festival, we were a bunch of “happy few”, who had the privilege of sharing this beautiful space. Although we were a small group, the people were generous and devoted, and this combination gave to this special moment a touch of magic and creativity. All this have been possible thanks to the commitment of its main organizer, Ester Forment. She trusted to her dreams, and the reality trusted her.

Like teacher I felt a marvellous reception for the part of the organization of the Festival Dance To Meet You; also I felt as this reception that we had the teachers and assistants one was transmiting all the participants of the festival, generating in the festival a familiar climate of support and cooperation that was meeting reflected in the development of the classes and the jams.
In his first edition the festival had a limited number of participants and a quality raised in the artistic offers. The space to work was wide and comfortable, we could realize all kinds of activities without any problem placed in a natural environment of great beauty, which was improving obviously the quality of the rests between the activities, beside being able to effect activities in the nearby urban core of Ripoll’s historical city. The quality of the services was very high, enjoying specially the local gastronomy. In end, the first edition of this festival was the perfect seed in order that there grows a festival of improvisation of dance of great format and international fret.
DANCE TO MEET YOU? I laugh. I cant forget the contact with nature, taste danse and… joint night with starts under the sky and around a table with cookies.
